Haines City, Florida – The Haines City Police Department acting on a request from the Ocoee Florida Police Department went to a home at 100 5th St. Monday morning in search of Pierre Bernard. According to the Ocoee police Department Bernard was wanted in a double shooting and murder in Ocoee. Officers from Haines City Police Department found Bernard dead from an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound.
Bernard allegedly got into an argument with his girlfriend and ended up shooting her. He also shot his girlfriends mother, killing her. The incident took place at a home on Grand Poplar St. in Ocoee around 7:30 am.
According to law enforcement Bernard had no prior criminal history. A chilling 911 call was made to law enforcement by the pregnant girlfriend, identified by her step-father as Marie Pierre, 22. The pregnant girlfriend, who was shot, can be heard screaming “My mom is dead”. The mother was also identified by the step-father as being Marie Alexandre, 52.
