Update:
PCFRMediaAlert | Polk County Fire Rescue responded to a residential structure fire on Dog Yard Rd in Lake Wales on Wednesday, Feb. 14. Frostproof Fire Department Tender 1 provided mutual aid on the call.
Crews were dispatched at 12:32 p.m. The first unit, Engine 14, arrived on scene six minutes later. Upon arrival, Engineer Jason Crowley (working higher class) reported a fully involved mobile home with flames present on all sides of the structure. PCFR initiated a defensive fire attack after conducting a size-up of the structure.
Due to the lack of hydrants in the area, PCFR conducted shuttle operations using a water tanker and a dump tank during the firefighting operations.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. There were no reported injuries or patients transported from the scene.

The Polk County Fire Rescue is currently on scene of a structure fire near Dog Yard Rd. & Sils Rd in East Lake Wales. According to reports the fire was called in around 12:30pm.
Nearly 20 crews were on scene of the fire. Some swapping out with other units to give them a break. Multiple tinder trucks on scene and we are seeing units from Frostproof even on scene.
We believe the structure may be a mobile home, but we have yet to receive confirmation. This is a developing story. We will update as more information becomes available.
