Due to Polk County’s rapid growth, the Northeast Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility is approaching its maximum daily flow faster than expected. Today the BoCC approved a $1.8 million engineering contract with Wright-Pierce, Inc. to expand the flow from 6.0 MGD to 9.0 MGD.
