Residents in Polk County will have the opportunity to take home a free tree during an upcoming community tree giveaway.
The East Polk County Tree Giveaway will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Dundee Veterans Memorial Park, located at 124 Dundee Road.
The event is offering 90 free trees, with a limit of two trees per household or vehicle. Trees will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so residents are encouraged to arrive early while supplies last.
Attendees will check in with event staff, who will help match them with their tree. Available varieties include:
- Lime
- Mango
- Mulberry
- Crape Myrtle
- Sycamore
- Red Maple
Once residents receive their trees, staff will assist with loading them into their vehicles. Participants can then take their trees home and plant them.
The giveaway is presented by Keep Polk County Beautiful, with support from Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful and Republic Services.
