#LFDMediaRelease | Lakeland Fire Department responded to a structure fire early this morning (Apr. 6) around 2:45 AM. When crews arrived on scene, the residence at Kendrick Lane was fully engulfed in flames, and they immediately went on the defensive to attack the fire. The scene was brought under control within 30 minutes.
Eight units from the Lakeland Fire Department, along with two Lakeland Fire Investigators, responded to the call. Lakeland Police Department provided traffic control, while Polk County Fire Rescue assisted with rehab.
The American Red Cross was contacted to assist two adult residents who safely evacuated the home. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the cause of the incident is under investigation.
