The Polk County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide unit is investigating a crash on County Road 640, east of US 27 (south of Lake Wales).
The crash occurred at about 11:12 am, and it was reported that two vehicles were involved.
One fatality has been confirmed. Four others received injuries were each airlifted by helicopter.
