Lakeland, Florida – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation into human remains found in the area of Combee Rd. and Skyview Drive. Deputies have the area marked off and crime scene units are on scene.
According to Carrie Hortsman, Polk County Sheriffs Office Public Information Officer, the remains have been there awhile. Currently they are not able determine the sex of the remains found. An autopsy will be performed Monday. At this time no indication as to foul play.
