Bartow, Florida — Due to construction, Polk County Parks and Recreation’s Bartow AG Arena will be closed August 1 through September 11. $114,000 worth of improvements were voted on by commissioners back in April. The money comes from a grant by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Improvements will include additional bleachers, sound system repairs and irrigation system repairs.
