Wonnie P. Koon, 85 of Davenport, Fl. 08/26/1930 – 02/13/2016
Born in Dublin, GA. Resided in Davenport, Florida for over 70 years. Was a graduate of Haines City High School. Employed by Holly Hill Fruit Products of Davenport and Orange – Co of Lake Hamilton as a fruit packer for some time. When her third child was born in 1965 she became a stay at home Mom for 17 years. Later resuming work as a Bookkeeper and Sales Clerk for various other local companies in town. Retiring in 1997 to enjoy time with her family taking advantage of her hobbies which consisted of sewing, quilting and crafting.
She will be remembered for her sincere kindness, encouraging positive attitude, but mostly her love and testimony for Jesus Christ.
She was preceeded in death by her oldest son, Tommy L. Koon and survived by her two existing children, Johnny Darryl Koon and Cathi Koon Fairbrother, three grandchildren, Carol Koon, Caleb Koon and Cole Koon.
A grave-side service will be held for family and close friends at Evergreen Cemetery in Davenport on Saturday, February 27th. @ 10:00 am.
