Lake Wales, Florida – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a drowning which occurred in the Indian Lake Estates community in Lake Wales.
On Wednesday the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Polk County Fire Rescue were dispatched to a home on Park Ave, in Indian Lake Estates community of Lake Wales, around 12:40 am. A 6yr old boy drowned. Life saving measures were started on scene, he was taken to the hospital, but passed away at 1:48 am.
No additional information is available at this time. At this point the drowning does not appear to involve any foul play. According to Brian Bruchey, PIO PCSO, “appears to be a tragic accident “.
