Following two days for getting deals – Black Friday and Cyber Monday –#GivingTuesday is a day for giving back.  In communities throughout the nation, people are embracing this day as an opportunity to raise money for nonprofits, donate time and supplies to local causes; teach children about philanthropy; encourage acts of kindness; collaborate with neighbors; and celebrate generosity.
This #GivingTuesday, LRC will kick off a fundraising campaign with Libertore Fund for Children. While LRC accepts donations throughout the year, beginning on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 and continuing through Friday, December 2, 2016, individuals will receive the opportunity to not only support struggling students through their donation at LibFund.org, but to have their donation matched. Libertore Fund for Children, a local organization with a mission to make a difference in the lives of at-risk children, will match each amount, dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000 thanks to an anonymous LibFund donor.
Those interested in joining the #GivingTuesday movement by participating in the Learning Resource Center’s Giving Match campaign may donate to LRC at libfund.org/events/90-the-giving-match-2016.
