According to initial information a small plane with two passengers has crashed down near Lake Buffum in Southern Polk County. The crash is in a strawberry field and the plane reportedly is on fire. The nearest intersection is with Murphy Rd.
Both occupants are believed to have survived the crash, but emergency personnel are just arriving.
The call came in at approximately 2:43pm. Units from the Polk County Fire Rescue and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office are arriving on scene now.
