Mayor To Proclaim May 17th “Lake Wales World Champion Day”
Lake Wales, Florida – In honor of the Lake Wales High School Spanish Team winning the World Language Competition, mayor, Mike Carter will proclaim May 17th “Lake Wales World Champions Day”. The mayor will do this at tonight’s City Commission meeting. Lake Wales High School’s Spanish Team beat out other schools to win first place at the World Language Competition held April 2 at Florida Southern College. LWHS Chorus hosts Dinner Theatre Friday & Saturday
Lake Wales, Florida – Toes will be tapping next weekend (May 13-14) when the Lake Wales High School Chorus hosts a Dinner Theatre program titled “You Can’t Stop The Beat!” The show will include performances by the Hillcrest Elementary third grade chorus, Hillcrest’s fourth and fifth grade chorus, Hillcrest’s ENCORE show choir, the Bok Academy chorus, and the LWHS chorus. “This will be a fun, musical night for the entire family. Lake Wales, Police – Troy Schulze with the Lake Wales Police Department says On April 17, 2011, an arrest warrant was issued for Dorale Desean Sermons for the murder of Willie Nimmons and attempted murder of Jarvis Allen. Dorale Desean Sermons has an extensive criminal history as well as the active warrant for first degree murder and attempted first degree murder.
