LWFD Partnering With Churches To Offer Smoke Alarm Batteries This Weekend
Lake Wales, Florida – After over thirty years of promoting smoke alarms as the best opportunity of surviving a residential fire, many still do not have working detectors in their homes. The Lake Wales Fire Department is excited about a community outreach program that will take place this Saturday, March 9th. Runners & Walkers Needed For 3rd Annual Run Like You Care 5k & 10k
Lake Wales, Florida – Care Center is looking for runners and walkers to help support our Meals on Wheels program. Our 3rd annual “Run Like You Care” 5k & 10k run/walk is set for Saturday April 13th. Young Boy Struck By Car In Lake Wales
Lake Wales Florida- Police and emergency crews are called out to Marietta Street in Lake Wales where a young boy has been struck by a car. The boy has been taken by helicopter to hospital for trauma treatment. Currently the Polk County Sheriff Department crime scene investigation unit is taking a look at the accident area.
