Winter Haven, Florida – According to a the PCSO, Austin Taylor (19) and Zachary Harvey (19) were arguing in the pre-dawn hours of Feb 19, 2013 at a location on Executive Road in Winter Haven. The argument allegedly escalated into a physical altercation and Harvey attempted to strike Taylor, and Taylor grabbed a tire iron from the back of a nearby pickup truck and struck Harvey. Winter Haven Business Man Killed In Plane Crash
It has been confirmed by the Indian River Sheriff’s Office that Robert Krieger, 65, of Winter Haven, Florida was one of three killed in plane crash that occurred near Vero Beach Thursday Feb 14. The other two men were Barry Cody, 65, from Winter Haven, Florida and Kit Cody, 67, from Winter Haven, Florida and Cody, Wyoming. The trio was flying in a Cessna 310. WHPD Investigating Homicide of Woman
Winter Haven, Florida -Winter Haven Police are on scene along Lake Alfred Road in Winter Haven conducting a homicide investigation. At approximately 8:02 a.m. on today’s date, police responded to a medical assist at the bridge along the Chain of Lakes Trail, in front of Carefee Cove. Upon arrival, a black female was found deceased just off the trail. The identity of the woman is not known. This is an ongoing investigation.
Fleeing Walmart Shoplifting Suspect Brings Out The Dogs
Winter Haven, Florida – PCSO & WHPD were out in force with K-9 units and helicopter to apprehend a Walmart shoplifting suspect. Around 5pm ,today, commuters coming home from work on Cypress Gardens Blvd. were greated by over a dozen officers searching for the suspect around the State Farm Regional offices. According to PCSO the suspect was apprehended around 5:30pm. We do not have the name of the suspect at this time or details of what exactly transpired. Winter Haven Man Dies From Taser
Winter Haven, Florida – A Winter Haven man, Adam Spencer Johnson, 33 was said to have been acting irrationally when the five officers approached, police said. According police spokesperson Barb Jones, off-duty officers reported to the scene after getting several calls about an irate and disorderly man. When they arrived they found 33-year-old Adam Spencer Johnson in front of the Universal Cinemax Theaters. “He was kind of pacing around, grabbing his beard, grabbing his head and hair, and they were trying to get a hold of him. Two Charter High School Events Will Raise Funds For Students
Winter Haven, FL – Chain of Lakes Collegiate High School on the Winter Haven campus of Polk State College is sponsoring two fundraising events on Wednesday, April 20, 2011. According to principal Bridget Fetter, proceeds from a cake auction and test drive event will directly benefit students at the high school.
