Lakeland Police Investigate Armed Robbery of Convenience Store
Lakeland, Florida – Lakeland Police responded to the Food Mart, 3976 New Tampa Highway on April 16, 2011, at 7:00 a.m. after receiving a report of a robbery. A man, approximately 5’10”, 170 pounds, entered the store brandishing a handgun and demanded money from owner Azam Mohammed (age 40, Lakeland). The suspect then fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact the Lakeland Police Department, 863.834.6900.
