    Lakeland,  Florida – At approximately 8:52 am, on Friday, July 31, 2015, Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence on Crystal Hills Loop South, Lakeland, after receiving a call about a female being found unresponsive at the home. Emergency medical services arrived and determined 43-year-old Angela Honeycutt, who lived at the residence with her adult daughter, was deceased. Polk County Sheriff’s Office Homicide detectives arrived and assumed the investigation. During the investigation, another call was received about a suspicious vehicle, a black Jeep Wrangler, located a mile away in an industrial area of Reynolds Road. Deputies arrived and…

    On Thursday, July 30, 2015, PCSO undercover Computer Crimes detectives arrested 38-year-old Joshua L. Pierce of 343 Cherokee Avenue in Haines City and charged him so far with two counts Possession of Child Pornography and one count Tampering With Evidence. According to the affidavit, PCSO received a cyber tip from NCMEC (National Center for Missing and Exploited Children) in reference to an unknown suspect living at the aforementioned address uploading child pornography to Dropbox. The images depicted two juvenile girls posing nude, and 16 other images of girls of an undetermined age similarly posed. Detectives obtained a search warrant and responded to the…

    Polk County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Detectives Conducting Stabbing Death Investigation   Polk County Sheriff’s Office Homicide detectives are currently searching for 52-year-old Nelson Robinson, last known address of 1250 Orange Boulevard, Polk City.  Robinson is wanted in connection to the stabbing death of 63-year-old Horace C. Haines City Man Arrested For Allegedly Making Pipe Bomb

Haines City, Florida – On July 15th Haines City Police arrested a man believed to have created a pipe bomb. During a drug raid at home in Winter Haven, July 9, a pipe bomb was found. That bomb and four sticks of dynamite were allegedly given to the Justin Duffey  in exchange for methamphetamine. John Nelson, 21 of Haines City, allegedly built the pipe bomb & brought to Duffey to set it off. The bomb never was set off. Nelson was arrested & taken to Polk County Jail.

HOSPITAL DISASTER DRILL TESTS RESPONSE   Lake Wales, FL – Lake Wales Medical Center took part in a mock disaster drill on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 that tested the preparedness and response of its staff.   “The goal of this exercise is to test the ability of the hospital to receive and treat a variety of patient acuities during a community disaster,” said Thomas Gibson, engineering director at LWMC.   The scenario for the practice event was a simulated tornado that touched down in a local senior community. Lake Wales, Florida -On July 20th Lake Wales Police Officers responded to 1st St. and DR JA Wiltshire (A St. Park) in reference to a disturbance.  The initial officers encountered a large crowd requested additional units. Officers were advised a fight had taken place prior to their arrival.  According to witnesses the fight ended at which time Fenel Celestin and Jamaal Anderson had a verbal altercation.  The altercation ended when Celestin allegedly pulled a firearm from his short’s pocket, threatening Anderson, causing him to retreat for safety.  Anderson reported during the verbal altercation Celestin threatened to kill him.  When Celestin…
