    Winter Haven Police executed a search warrant on a suspected drug house, which put a convicted felon back behind bars.On 3-26-15 at 6:30 a.m., Winter Haven Police executed the search warrant on the residence located at 750 Ave. O, SW in Winter Haven. The warrant was obtained after authorities were contacted by concerned citizens that there was possibly drug activity at the location. When Police made entry into the home, 30 year-old John Junior Leandre (DOB 6-15-84), 25 year-old Mykal Robinson (DOB 11-10-89) and 61 year-old Ronald Robinson (DOB 7-28-53) were held while the home was searched for narcotics.     Semi Vs. Pickup Towing 32Ft. Trailer Slowing I-4 Traffic In Davenport

    Davenport, Florida – The Florida Highway Patrol and emergency crews are currently cleaning up an accident on I-4. According to Sgt. Steve Gaskins, FHP spokesperson, advises that a semi vs. pickup towing a 32 ft. trailer has eastbound lanes blocked. The accident occurred at 11:51am near MM51 in Davenport. At this time vehicles are moving slowly around the accident on the shoulder of the road. We do not have any confirmation of injuries at this time. This is an ongoing story and we will update if we get further details.

Lake Wales, Florida – On Thursday afternoon March 19, 2015 Lake Wales Police Officer Lang responded to the Tower View Motel on Scenic Hwy in reference to a disturbance. While investigating the disturbance, Officer Lang made contact with James Lee Atkins who was involved in a verbal argument with tenants of the motel. Officer Lang ran Atkins’ information through NCIC/ FCIC for warrants. Officer Lang was notified by dispatch, there was an active warrant for Atkins. JEFFERSON COUNTY (KATV) – A man was killed this morning in Jefferson County after being attacked by a pack of pit bulls. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office identifies the victim as De’trick O. Johnson, 36 of Pine Bluff. The owner of the dogs and the property where the attack happened, is John Chester Smith, 63. Authorities said just before 10:00 a.m. a group of seven pit bulls charged underneath a fence, then started mauling Johnson. Lakeland, Florida  – March 22, 2015 at 3:10 a.m., the Lakeland Police Department responded to Parkway Frontage Road South at the intersection of Old Road 37 in reference to a single vehicle crash. The vehicle, 2014 Dodge Pick-up was traveling eastbound on Parkway Frontage Road South approaching the intersection of Old Road 37, which curves to the right. The vehicle failed to negotiate the curve striking the guardrail and then hit a tree. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by Polk County Fire Rescue/EMS. Winter Haven, Florida – Winter Haven Police Traffic Homicide is investigating a motorcycle fatality that occurred early this morning. Today (3-28-15) at approximately 2:55 a.m., a motorist traveling on Hwy. 17 in Winter Haven spotted a sport motorcycle and the rider lying beside of it in the grassy area just past the intersection of Ave. G SE and Hwy 17.
