Burglary Suspects Kick In Door of Lake Wales

Lake Wales, Florida – An alarm call at a home on W Lake Wales Rd S around 1:45pm today lead PCSO to a burglary scene. Deputies arrived & saw door kicked in. A witnesses was able to give deputies a description of the suspect vehicle.  Currently deputies are searching for the vehicle.  Crime scene investigators are processing the scene. At this time further details have not been released.  We will update this article if more information becomes available.

A pedestrian has been struck on Spirit Lake Rd.

UPDATE: Around 6:20 a.m. this morning, Sept 9th, a 2012 gold Chevy Malibu being driven by 29-year-old Mlynnda Pittman of Robin Lane in Winter Haven was heading southbound on Spirit Lake Rd at The Village Blvd when it struck pedestrian 23-year-old Ovidia Lasley of Queens Cove Loop in Winter Haven. Pittman immediately pulled over and dialed 9-1-1. Lasley was airlifted to LRMC with multiple injuries. She is in stable condition and is expected to fully recover.
