The Lake Wales Police Department is investigating three cases at Wal-Mart, located at 2000 SR60 E, where property was purchased or attempted to be purchased with stolen credit cards. The incidents happened on June 22, 2014, June 27, 2014, and July 7, 2014. The suspects purchased or attempted to purchase items such as prepaid credit cards and clothing. Detective Ivelisse Rodriguez is investigating the cases and she is trying to identify the people in these photographs. Auburndale Police have captured the suspects involved in a burglary this morning in the Brighton Point subdivision off Highway 559. Thanks for sharing the earlier post and communicating with investigators. Earlier Release: Police are searching for two burglary suspects. The burglary occurred in the area of Brighton Point off of State Road 559 & Adams Road. Both are black males, one described as heavier with a white shirt and the other is thinner with no clothing description. They were last seen in the Estates of Auburndale subdivision around 9:15am. ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Jul 8, 2014, 2:11 PM ET Authorities say a New Mexico inmate has been captured after he escaped from jail by hiding in a laundry basket. Officials say 28-year-old Kevin Matthew Perkins packed himself in the basket on Monday to get away from the Metropolitan Detention Center. Authorities say the laundry basket was headed to another facility. When an officer opened a truck door, officials say Perkins jumped out of the basket and ran. PCSO Robbery Detectives have positively identified and arrested the last two suspects who were at-large after an armed carjacking that occurred on June 29, 2014. According to their affidavits (see attached) 23-year-old Frederick Peacock of 311 West Parker Street in Lakeland, and 17-year-old Bruce Daniels of the same address, were both identified by the previously arrested suspect Deandre Leach as two of the suspects who exited the vehicle and attacked the victim while armed with a handgun. Last Month, Governor Rick Scott Signed a death Warrant for Eddie Wayne Davis. Davis appealed by stating he suffers from the medical condition porphyria and that use of the first drug administered would cause him extreme abdominal pain and nausea. But a medical expert testified that it was “highly unlikely” that those symptoms would occur before the execution is finished. The high court denied an appeal from Eddie Wayne Davis, who is now 45, an inmate at Union Correctional Institution. (July 7, 2014) – Polk County Fire Rescue personnel along with fire/rescue crews from Hardee County, Fort Meade and Bartow responded to a reported explosion and fire at the Duke Energy Hines Energy Complex in Fort Meade Monday afternoon. At 3 p.m., crews were dispatched to the facility located at 7700 County Road 555 in Fort Meade where it was reported that an explosion occurred at the facility causing a fire.
