Free Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Disposal in Haines City

    Polk County residents can safely dispose of household hazardous waste and electronic equipment for no additional cost during a collection event hosted by Polk County’s Waste & Recycling Division and the City of Haines City. The collection will take place 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 8 at the Public Works Utility Complex, 300 N. 5th Street in Haines City.  Household hazardous materials accepted during the event include: cleaners, polishes, solvents, automotive products, aerosol cans, insecticides, disinfectants, paint products, batteries and pool chemicals.
