  Lake Wales, Florida – Melissa P Ginther was arrested at her residence in Haines City on May 6, 2014 after the State Attorney’s Office issued a warrant for arrest for 2 counts of Fraud-Money Laundering. Haines City Woman Injured Helping Trapped Accident Victim

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say one person was killed and another was injured Saturday morning, shutting down westbound lanes of I-4 for several hours. Troopers said 46-year-old Marc Marcceus was killed and 26-year-old Maleah Meyers was seriously injured when they stopped to help an accident victim. Meyers is from Haines City and is an employee of the city of Haines City. Meyers was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center. Davenport, Florida – PCSO Traffic deputies are investigating a three-vehicle traffic crash that occurred late last night in Davenport that resulted in two fatalities. Lake Wales, Florida – On November 19, 2013, Lake Wales Police Detective Ivelisse Rodriguez, was contacted by Pam Thompson, the owner of Central Florida Manufactured Home Sales, a Lake Wales business specializing in manufactured homes re-sales, concerning the theft of money by a former employee. During the course of Detective Rodriguez’s investigation, it was discovered that Melissa Platt Ginther allegedly falsified documents, from 2010 to 2013, in an attempt to hide money that she was suspected of illegally obtaining for her personal use.
