Frostproof, Florida – Thursday of last week residents around Lantana Rd. woke to find PCSO deputies had closed off the road and crime scene units were investigating an incident. The sheriff’s office has now confirmed that a shooting took place at 10 Lantana Rd. in Frostproof on May 16th at 12:48 am. Initially it was reported as a home invasion by the PCSO. PCSO detectives transported 29-year-old Danny Cruz (DOB 6/23/1983) to the Polk County Jail late last evening (May 9, 2013) after he was apprehended by the Kissimmee Police Department.
