    Frostproof Teenager Seriously Injured In Monday Night Crash

    Frostproof, Florida – According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office an accident occurred around 12:00 am on Tuesday morning at the intersection of Hwy 27 and Scenic Hwy in Frostproof. According to reports a silver Kia, driven by Michael Medina, 17, was stopped at the red light on Scenic Hwy on northbound Hwy 27. A second vehicle, 2005 red ford explorer, driven by Elizabeth Marsh, 33, struck the rear end of Medina’s vehicle. Elizabeth Marsh was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center via helicopter, but later was listed in good condition with only minor injuries. Medina was transported to Lake…

    Frostproof Man Arrested For Kidnapping & Threatened to Shoot Deputies

    On Friday evening, November 21, 2014, PCSO deputies thwarted a Frostproof man’s efforts to shoot them during an altercation at the man’s home. According to the affidavit around midnight that evening PCSO received a call in reference to a physical domestic disturbance at 61 Lake Lane in Frostproof. The suspect, 44-year-old Tommy Lee Parker, pushed and punched a woman and confined her to a bedroom in the home. The woman and her daughter were eventually able to escape from the house and call PCSO for assistance. After they fled, the suspect armed himself with a .22 caliber rifle and ammunition….

She is a Cheerleader for the Football Team, an Honor Student, and a very successful Rodeo Star to boot.     Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing and endangered elderly adult. 73-year-old Norman Henry Cole, was last seen at between the hours of 11:30 pm, Wednesday, October 29, 2014 and 2:30 am, Thursday, October 30, 2014, at his home located on Stanley Avenue in Frostproof. Cole, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, was reported missing by his wife.  He is believed to be driving a black, 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan with a Florida license tag of 913-NCR.
