Babson Park, Florida – Triathletes have been preparing all year for this even coming up July 29th. This Sprint Triathlon consists of a 1/4 mile swim, a 15 miles bike and a 3.1 miles run. Youth Sprint Triathlon consists of a 100m swim, a 3 miles bike and a 1/2 mile run. Adult entry fee ranges from $55 to $80. Youth entry fee ranges from $20 to $30. Babson Park, Florida – The Ladies of Mecca Court No. 98, Ladies’ Oriental Shrine of North America will sponsor a Mad Hatters’ Tea party Saturday from 2-4 pm at the Babson Park Womens Club. Polk County, Florida -From Saturday evening, through Sunday morning, June 16-17, 2012, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office has received three drowning related calls for service involving small children. The first incident occurred at approximately 6:48 pm, on Saturday, June 16, 2012, when a 5-year-old girl from Okeechobee was visiting with family members at an Aldridge Lane residence in Davenport. Several family members, children and adults, were in the pool together when one adult noticed the 5-year-old at the bottom of the pool.
