Polk County, Fla. (June 18, 2014) – The state of Florida leads the country in drowning deaths of children ages one to four and Polk County has averaged nearly three per year for the last 10 years. Already this year there have been two drownings and one near drowning in the county, which is setting a fire inside one Polk County Fire Rescue employee to do something. “Witnessing these events first hand has inspired a passion in me to somehow stop or at least drastically decrease the number of these tragic accidents,” said engineer/paramedic Blaise Dillman.
