Avon Park, Florida – On Wednesday at approximately 2:00pm an armed robbery occurred at the Highlands Independent Bank, 400 US 27 North in Avon Park. The suspect is described as a black male with light complexion, in his early 20’s, 5’8” tall and 160 pounds. Man Arrested on Two Counts of Vehicular Homicide In Frostproof Accident
Frostproof, Florida – On Thursday, September 6, 2012, Polk County Sheriff’s Traffic Homicide deputies issued an arrest warrant for 34-year-old Gino Tutera of 4705 Josselin Place in Parrish, charging him with two counts Vehicular Homicide (F-2) in a traffic fatality that resulted in the deaths of two people in Frostproof on March 21, 2012.
Robbery at Heartland National Bank
Highlands County Sheriff’s Detectives are currently working an armed robbery that occurred at approximately 10:15AM today at Heartland National Bank, 5033 US 27 North in Sebring. The two suspects had guns however no shots were fired during the robbery. Both suspects were black males.
