Lake Wales Arts Center to Offer Children’s Art Experience: Drawing, Designing, and Painting
LAKE WALES- The Lake Wales Arts Center is pleased to host a series of art classes for children ages 7-11 taught by art teacher Cathy Cranford Futral. Offered on Tuesdays in April from 3:30-4:45 p.m., classes will include drawing with pencils and charcoal, portraits, perspective, pastels, designing with ink and color, and watercolor.
A native of North Carolina who now lives most of the year in Florida, Futral has been living and teaching art in central Florida for 25 years. She is currently a professor of Art and the Art Club advisor at South Florida Community College, and she teaches workshops in the summer at Cheap Joe’s in Boone, North Carolina. Futral is a community artistic resource and the author of Art Lessons Notebook, 101 Lessons for the Elementary to Adult Student. Believing that art is for everyone, Futral is passionate about sharing her talents and enthusiasm for art to create joy and purpose in others’ lives.
Children’s Art Experience: Drawing, Designing, and Painting Ages 7-11. Students learn drawing, portraits, perspective, and designing from a prominent local art teacher.
